“Christopher Springmann’s great overview of the work that we do at
Charity Navigator will become a ‘go to’ interview when we introduce
ourselves to new audiences.”

Who we Are and What We Do

We’d like to tell your important stories, as video features on your site, on-line audio Podcasts and national radio broadcasts.

Effective storytelling fulfills a very special need for your organization, by recognizing your successes and rewarding your donors, grant recipients, volunteers and staff, by telling their stories with empathy and compassion that goes to the core purpose of why you exist. Those who give of their time, money, physical labor and creativity, from a grass-roots storefront to the executive suite, need to feel a sense of gratification, that they really are making a difference and changing the world for the better, all with your help.

That’s where On The Path Productions is so helpful. We specialize in the creation and distribution of podcasts, broadcasts and videos from interviews conducted by Founder and Host, Christopher Springmann, with the people you choose to represent the heart-and-soul of your important work. Your messaging will be brought to life by Christopher and given the authentic voice the public appreciates and trusts.

Our dedication to the mission and goals of non-profits and their educational outreach, community service and fund-raising needs, has been consistent since our founding in 2003.

Our custom on-line Podcasts and videos plus Life Love & Health, our daily and weekly nationally broadcast programs, all evolved from a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant to participate in an extraordinary event entitled, “Health Disparities Among Women Of Color.”

I quickly realized,” says Christopher, “that traditional media was not telling the American health story based on celebrating the grassroots efforts of non-profits, foundations and philanthropies by featuring the first-person experiences and testimonials of their grantees, contributors, volunteers and leadership. We believe that people’s health-and-wellness decisions are heavily influenced by their cultural heritage, ethnicity, age, gender, level of education, religious and personal values, plus their hopes, dreams and lifestyle. Influencing how and why people choose specific personal and family health paths is at the heart of our work.

Initial support for our show came from AARP’s Diversity Initiative, The California Wellness Foundation, The California Endowment and the American Cancer Society. Christopher adds, “I am continually pleased that our work is frequently cited on IRS Form 990′s as evidence of educational outreach and community engagement.”

Enjoy the following examples of our storytelling and, please, let us know how we can be of service to you and your organization in realizing your goals.

The following programs include work for Easter Seals; the Regence Foundation; Charity Navigator; the American College of Medical Genetics; and Scott & White Healthcare.

Easter Seals

“Christopher Springmann and his company have worked with Easter Seals for the past several years – helping us get the message out about how Easter Seals provides help, hope and answers for individuals and families living with autism and the support and services they need to live more independently. More recently, Life Love & Health has spotlighted Easter Seals Living with Disability study results , and messages about Easter Seals’ focus on older adults and their caregivers.

As the nations’ largest network of disability service providers, Easter Seals is dedicated to helping children and adults with disabilities and special needs live with equality, dignity and independence. We are pleased with the work On The Path Productions has done with us and for us. Christopher’s interviews have been incisive and thorough. He brings the subject to life with his engaging and enlightening interview style, and has taken a very keen interest in what we do.”

Charity Navigator

“It’s only right that we’ve featured Charity Navigator twice on Life Love & Health,” said Christopher Springmann, executive producer. “Over 90% of our clients are non-profits, including professional associations, foundations and charitable organizations. Thus, when listeners contact us about the integrity of a 501(c)(3) they are considering donating to, we happily recommend Charity Navigator for guidance.

For both programs, Springmann connected via telephone from his San Francisco studio with Sandra Miniutti, Marketing Vice President and CFO of Charity Navigator, in Washington, D.C.. Miniutti called attention to the generosity of Americans who, even during a recession year, gave about $300 billion to U.S. charities, primarily non-profits, and mostly in the areas of health and medical, religion, education and the arts. Sandra also answered the most typical asked question she receives: “How can I be sure that my hard-earned dollars are going to the folks who really deserve my donation?”

The Regence Foundation

Redefining the traditional view of palliative care while creating awareness and demand for this new approach to services is an enormous challenge and undertaking for the Portland OR-based Regence Foundation.

To address these goals, On The Path Productions initially created two informational “scene-setting” Life Love & Health programs, with interviews produced in-person at a Seattle palliative care conference. The first features Mark Ganz, President and CEO of Regence BlueCross BlueShield; and Ronald Brownstein, Editorial Director for the National Journal. Together they discussed palliative care, a holistic approach that treats the whole person, including management of pain and other symptoms, while supporting caregivers and families whose social and emotional needs must be addressed as well.
The second program featured Regence Sojourns Award winner, Dr. Tanya Lugliani Stewart, M.D., who personalizes the discussion of palliative care with a moving recollection of her grandmother’s passing and how this event touched her life as a mother and physician.

American College of Medical Genetics

Newborn screening is a vital public health program and it’s been called one of the most significant, lifesaving and important public health programs in the United States of the past 50 years.

“Our feature program on Newborn Screening for the ACMG is a classic example of how well we work with truly passionate folks who share our commitment to quality programming,” said Christopher Springmann. “We booked their three spokespersons into nearby WAMU, an NPR affiliate in Washington, D.C., and we included a guest caller from Minnesota with her testimonial. We connected with WAMU from our San Francisco studio to produce the broadcast-quality interview.”
On The Path Productions also coordinated a PR Newswire press release with the ACMG in order to publicize the national broadcast of the “Newborn Screening,” which was broadcast on SiriusXM, HealthRadio, WomensRadio, American Forces Network, the ACMG website and the Life Love & Health site, too, all to insure maximum initial exposure and long-term SEO results.

Scott & White Healthcare

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Chris Springmann for the past two years. His company produces a weekly [custom-branded] program, Your Health Matters, for our company’s website. The content is also integrated into his weekly Life Love & Health: Special Edition program on satellite radio. This is very effective in communicating to our own audience and reaching out to prospective patients. The program Chris produces is an integral part of our objective to create a more patient-centric website. By utilizing professional third-party interviews Chris conducts with our patients, doctors, and experts, we are succeeding in meeting our goals. We also demand a high standard of quality, which they continuously meet and exceed. We consider them part of our marketing team and would recommend them to anyone else who is looking for a marketing partner in the health and wellness industry.”
